the two minors were known to his family.

A 13-year-old Indian boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by two minors in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district.

The incident took place in the Lodha area on Thursday, March 4, 2021.

The two accused minors allegedly raped and threatened the victim. They then gave him Rs 20 (£0.20) to keep quiet about the crime.

According to a report by the Times of India, the Indian boy’s father had sent him to a local market to purchase farming equipment.

The two minors accompanied the boy on his way to the market. They then took him to an isolated area and sexually assaulted him.

The minors threatened the victim to keep quiet about the incident and bribed him to not disclose it.

However, upon returning home, the Indian boy’s family learned of the crime and informed the police.

A case has been registered against the two minors.

A further probe is also underway.

A complaint was lodged by the victim’s family. In his complaint, he said the two suspects were known to his family

He also told the police that his wife went to complain to the minors’ parents about the crime.

However, they refused to hear anything of the sexual assault against the Indian boy.

It is not uncommon for sexual assault crimes to be committed by minors in India.

In June 2019, two 14-year-old boys were accused of raping a seven-year-old boy in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district.

The Indian boy’s parents registered a complaint following the incident.

According to police officials, the accused minors were put before the Juvenile Justice Board soon after.

Speaking of the incident, Sitaranj police station’s Station House Officer (SHO) Sudhir Kumar said:

“The parents informed us about what had happened with the child, then we conducted a medical examination where it was confirmed the allegations of the parents of the victim.

“We then registered a case under sections 337 and 363 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 5/6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.”

Juli Rana, the investigating officer in the case, said the minors called the Indian boy into a nearby toilet before committing the crime.

Rana said:

“The accused minors were also there in the same field. They called the victim and took him to a toilet in that area.

“One of the accused minors then inserted a stick in the victim’s private parts and the other was keeping a check outside the toilet.”

According to Rana, the victim, his friend and the two minors had all been playing in the same field when the incident occurred.
